Le Sanglier Amoureux shelters three very different properties: le Refuge, le Loft and le Chalet. The "Refuge" is located behind a large door, which came from an Indian temple, built into old stables. There is a large wooden terrace, a sauna and a Japanese bath overlooking the garden, and we continued our visit by opening the large bay window, behind which is a living room, a bedroom and a bathroom. As in each of the suites, the sober and country style decoration and furniture invite you to relax. The open bathrooms are very generous in size, which surprised us in each of the suites.
We then visited the "Loft" which also had a farmhouse feel. It has a terrace and a jacuzzi with a view of the garden. However, it is the inside of the Loft that most appealed to us. The space is large and bright, it is a great place to relax and spend a few days. The ceilings of the living room and kitchenette area are 6m high and the original beams have been painted white. Perched on a mezzanine, there is a bedroom, an open bathroom and a sauna. As you can probably tell from our description, the Loft is our favourite.
The last suite is called the Chalet and is located on the edge of the woods, set back to provide a certain intimacy. It offers great comfort just like the rest of the suites and has an outdoor sauna with a Scandinavian look.
Breakfast is offered as an option. Amandine will be happy to prepare a generous breakfast to add romance and conviviality to your stay. A 3-course dinner in your suite is also available. Amandine will concoct excellent dishes with local products - eggs and meat come from the resident animals.
The wood used in the construction of the suites comes from the Manhay region but also from the bottom of the garden! Amandine and her partner felt a responsibility for the origin of the construction and decoration materials as well as the food served.
