THE ATMOSPHERE
Velpe 55 is the story of a small house with a modern design look situated in the middle of a country village. Surrounded by other neighbouring houses and farms, the Velpe 55 holiday home certainly intrigues the eye from afar. Built of "thermowood", thin wooden slats of 6 metres high, it is located just a few metres from the owner's family home, an old farmhouse. Only the river Velpe and a country lane, where walkers pass by, separate the house from the wild and natural meadows.
THE HOLIDAY RENTAL
Open since May 2019, the holiday home was designed by the Leuven architect's office Studio Wad. It can also be rented outside the holidays, as long as we stay at least two nights. The interior of the house consists of a small living room, a beautiful glassed-in kitchen and two bedrooms with bathrooms. The decoration and furniture are simple, clean and of high quality. It is ideal for a family with several children, 6 in total. From the kitchen, a glass door leads to a small terrace at the front of the house. Another terrace is also accessible from the other side of the house, on the garden side.
THE SERVICE
The holiday home always provides towels as well as bed linen and towels. The kitchen is well-equipped, cooking books are available to help you prepare delicious meals. Bicycles can be rented from a local supplier. If you bring your own bikes, you can store them safely in the private bike shed in the garden.
THE HOSTS
We met Waut, the owner and direct neighbour of the house. Very charming, he took the time to show us the house, tell us the story and share with us the activities to do in the surroundings.

Satisfied with his first experience, Waut launches into a new project of modular cabins... We won't say any more, but in view of the success of the Velpe 55 house, we are already looking forward to the new project announced for 2021, stay tuned!
Price
490€ (2 nights) - 1136€ (7 nights) depending on the number of nights (possibility of 2, 3, 4 or 7 nights) all inclusive (charges, parking, linen) + 50€ cleaning.
