A UPENDI
IN BRIEF
The holiday rental is located in the centre of the small village of Ocquier, on the border between the beautiful landscapes of the Belgian Condroz and the province of Liège. This old barn has recently been converted into a small holiday home with two bedrooms, a bathroom, a modern, well-equipped kitchen and a cosy lounge. A perfect harmony between the authenticity of the barn and the modernity of a small comfortable cocoon. The rooms have been well thought out to combine space and efficiency. "A Upendi", it is pleasant to be together and to enjoy good times during the many activities to do in the region.

THE HOST - THE SERVICE
We met Tatiana, the charming owner and manager of the house. She admits to having a "brick in her belly" and to having managed the renovation of the barn herself. A challenge that was met with flying colours: it is a lovely, warm and pleasant little cottage. At the time of our visit, the building site was not entirely finished, as a swimming pool and terrace were being built to be ready for use at the beginning of the summer. Tatiana is a local and has lived in Ocquier for several years. She is currently putting together a catalogue of recommendations for things to do in the area, including walking routes and places to have a picnic, aperitif, etc.
SUSTAINABILITY
We recognise Tatiana's willingness to make efforts in terms of environmental responsibility. She intends to impose waste separation on her guests and suggest local food products. As far as energy is concerned, Tatiana is thinking about the possibilities to be implemented in the next few months. After all, this newly renovated holiday rental has only just opened (in April 2021) and we are sure that improvements will come along the way.
THE LITTLE EXTRA
The small garden and terrace with a pool at the back of the house.
The original stones and beams have all been kept and used in the renovation, giving a very authentic character to the holiday home. Ideal for a family of 3 children or a group of 4 friends
