Chapel House
IN BRIEF
The elegant Chapel House is situated in the centre of the small town of Penzance. It overlooks the small harbour and the island of St Michael. The bed and breakfast has 6 attractive bedrooms and 2 self-contained suites.
Decorated with taste and attention to details, the house has retained its authentic character. Susan, the host, has an innate sense of decoration and harmony, a real curator. She has managed to perfectly blend the soul and character of the place with comfort and modernity by combining vintage furniture, creaky floors and high ceilings with soft sofas and beds and modern bathrooms.
The rooms and common areas are bright. Everything is painted white with hints of colour that dress and enliven each room.
THE HOST - THE SERVICE
Susan is the captain of this charming hotel. Having lived in London most of her life, it was the sea air and the quieter pace of the coast that attracted her to Penzance.
She transformed Chapel House into what we see today: a real gem. Susan is a multitasking woman who runs her little B&B with a masterful hand: she is a quality host and a chef-coq who makes her guests' taste buds tingle on Friday and Saturday nights.
SUSTAINABILITY
Sensitive to the environment and to providing a gourmet experience for her guests, Susan strives to offer the best, sourcing exceptional local produce and cooking it simply.
