THE ATMOSPHERE
The St. Roch estate near Couvin covers an area of more than 40 hectares. A former 18th century forge paradise that was abandoned in the 1990s. For the past ten years, it has been taken over by an exciting couple, who have always been in love with the place and who are full of breathtaking ideas for the development of the place. Little by little, with talent and taste, they bring the walls and the surrounding nature back to life. In the middle of this greenery and along the Eau Noire, the idea is to welcome, share and receive family and friends in an inspiring setting.
THE gites
The domain has 4 individual accommodations as well as a large reception room, often requisitioned to celebrate weddings. The accommodation is divided into 3 gîtes of different sizes and a bubble. Les Capucins is the largest, accommodating up to 22 people. As well as having direct access to the wellness area, the gym and the large meeting room, it can be combined with the second gîte, La Jardiniere (14 people). These two gites can be combined together as well as occupied separately. Simple and modern, they fully meet our selection criteria: harmony. The Gai Logis has only 2 bedrooms that can accommodate up to 5 people. Finally, the domain has an unusual dwelling that has already been seen elsewhere: a bubble on the water. However, this one is somewhat different from the others and is, we promise, exceptional!
THE SERVICE
The domain is full of space. In addition to the gîtes and the unusual accommodation, it is possible to relax in a wellness area with a sauna and Nordic bath after exercising in the gym. Numerous board games are at your disposal, enough to keep family and friends occupied. For seminars, a meeting room and the old library can also be rented.
For lovers in the bubble, the service can be adapted to your desires and needs.
THE HOSTS
For Philippe and his wife, it is a dream come true to live in this place. For them, taking over this domain has become their life project. Recently, they decided to turn it into a school, inspired by the Colibris movement in France. They share their house in the form of a group housing of three families and a few flats. Together, they are looking for volunteers to take part in this movement.
Many projects are being set up, such as the opening of a private citizen nursery school.
