THE ATMOSPHERE
If one day you get lost around Ciney in the country lanes in the middle of reeds and you meet a charming young couple, then you have surely arrived at the Nids des Marais. This young couple, who live in an old family farm at the end of a one-way road, warmly welcomes lovers of unusual accommodation. The domain already offers two unusual accommodations in the middle of reeds and intends to develop further in the coming months. Alone in the middle of nature, you will be welcomed by Heloise in an old stable and you will sleep under the stars. We are in the countryside so without pretension, put on your boots and live simply, especially no question of disturbing biodiversity.
THE GLAMPING SPOTS
It all began in 2019 when the young Brussels couple decided to take over the reins of an old family farm. Before that, they were already used to welcoming people there, since it was used as a cottage for a few years. In the summer of 2019, a first bubble was created in the middle of reeds. The following year, another unusual accommodation in the middle of the reeds appeared under the name of "Dome" in plexi. The latter has the particularity of being able to open two large doors on each side of the dome, so as to have the real sensation of sleeping under the stars. It is nicely and comfortably furnished, on a wooden platform, with a nice table and sanitary facilities. A little further on, on the bank of a brook, the project to add a 3rd unusual lodging is already well under way. This time in tempered glass, it looks like a nice little greenhouse. On the other side of the brook, there is a small wooden bench for two people next to a wood fire.
THE SERVICE
Life is simple. Heloise will drop off the generous breakfast basket in front of your unusual accommodation in the morning. For those who might be cold, an electric stove is installed in the dome to warm you up as well as a nice faux fur blanket. From a sanitary point of view, you will have all the necessary facilities: a washbasin area, a dry toilet and a wooden shower area with "rinse kit" filled with hot water in the morning, everything is private.
THE HOSTS
Heloise and her husband, a filmmaker, recently moved to Ciney with their children. Passionate about nature and the art of hosting, they wanted to make this beautiful place a place of sharing, meetings and discoveries.
