SPOOR 62
Luxury bed and breakfast in the countryside
Charming guesthouse close to the Belgian coast and the city of Bruges
THE ATMOSPHERE
When we went to Spoor 62, we expected to arrive at an old but modernised railway station. We were pleasantly surprised, the railway line we were expecting was none other than a beautiful cobbled alleyway lined with Japanese cherry trees. We were warmly welcomed by Irma in the living room where a wood fire was crackling and jazz was humming. Quickly, we felt calm and totally confident.
THE HOTEL
Spoor 62 is a modern and design guest room built in an annex to the former Moere station on train line number 62. Renovated after the children left the family home, it is situated in the middle of the countryside between the Belgian coast, the 'westhoek' of Belgium and Brugge. Both rooms are spacious, bright and decorated with luxury designer furniture. They all overlook the private garden and terrace. A beautiful project by the architect Jacques Verbeke and Irma and her husband for whom interior design is a passion.
THE service
In the rooms, the products are of exclusive brands such as Malin Goetz for the treatments and Lakebos for the satin sheets. There is also a very small private lounge full of books and charm, or you can help yourself in the honesty bar. Irma's homemade breakfast is superbly renowned for its variation and quality, in addition to being quite copious. Bike hire is also available for 12€ /day or 25€ /day for an electric bike. All you have to do is ask and Irma will reserve one for you, after all you'll be waiting for the Belgian coast by cycling only 14 km.
