THE ATMOSPHERE
Shortly after crossing the wooden barrier and hurtling down the long tree-lined driveway, we were won over by the beauty of this place. There is a country atmosphere where nature rules. Welcomed by the sound of frogs, sheep and donkeys, we let our instinct guide us and without signs, we discovered the tiny house. Discreetly tucked away, in the shade of the trees, on the edge of a pond, door ajar, dim lights, bouquet of flowers and plaids out on the terrace, the cabin welcomes us warmly, carefully prepared for the arrival of its new inhabitants.
THE HOTEL
Designed and built entirely by Jérôme, the main host, this project began as a place to welcome friends and host parties. Today, it is not a simple cabin in the woods, the tiny house meets high-end standards while respecting an aesthetic harmony, built entirely from tasteful, quality and sometimes recovered materials: oak wood, mortex for the bathroom and sober wallpaper.
THE service
The concept is simple: Jérome makes us feel at home and allows us to use it how we wish, with as much privacy as we desire. Nothing is impossible, you are free to do all kinds of activities: fishing, canoeing, walks, biking and more. Breakfast is delivered discreetly in a basket, including organic apple juice produced on site, fresh eggs from the hens and the menus are adapted according to the seasons.
THE HOsts
Jérôme showed us round the tiny house. You can feel his attachment to the places where he grew up as a child and especially to the hut which he built entirely by himself. Although he aims to leave his guests in complete privacy without being disturbed, he remains at your disposal throughout your stay, if you need a pair of hands to light a fire or look for activities in the area, Jérôme will be happy to help you.
SUSTAINABILITY
We noted a respect for the quality of materials used in the construction of the tiny house as well as in the reuse of objects such as the iron barrier at the start of the journey. The food supply is wherever possible seasonal and local (even domestic cultivation).
